Rep. Miller focuses on underserved communities. As a freshman in a super-minority, Rep. Miller successfully passed numerous bills into law.
Rep. Miller created law that reformed court fines, protected victims of domestic violence, and helped adults with disabilities to gain employment.
Rep. Miller fought against bills that targeted our trans community, introduced a homeless bill of rights, and stood in solidarity with labor.

ISSUES - Defending Our Communites

HOMELESSNESS
As a public defender that has represented hundreds of unsheltered individuals and has worked in Homeless Court and Kayak Court, Rep. Miller has repeatedly worked to address our homelessness crisis:
- Introduced a “Homeless Bill of Rights”
- Unanimously passed a bill to remove unnecessary barriers to professional licensing to get more social workers to the front lines.
- Secured multiyear funding for tens of thousands of meals to feed Utahns facing hunger.

TRANS RIGHTS and REPRODUCTIVE HEALTHCARE
Rep. Miller is dedicated to protecting an individual's right to personal agency free of government interference, including the determination of one's own bodily autonomy, reproduction, sexuality, and gender.
-Believes in the right to choose and works to keep abortion health care safe and accessible.
-Fought to defend trans rights and access to gender confirmation healthcare.
-Voted and advocated against bills that targeted the trans community.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM
As a trial attorney, Grant has worked on thousands of criminal cases from Utah’s courthouses, jails, and prisons. He has worked to confront our mass incarceration problem with rehabilitative and restorative justice.
- Passed legislation reforming how defendants can pay court fines if they don’t have money.
- Passed legislation standardizing sentencing guidelines to increase public safety.
- Repeatedly voted against mass incarceration and mandatory minimum sentencing schemes.
